Assassinating the American Activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi by the Israeli Forces

Tolls the Bell for the Necessity to Halt the Occupation’s Violations of the International Law and International Human Rights Law

Palestine: “Palestinian Working Woman Society for Development- PWWSD”, strongly condemns the Israeli crime against the American Activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, who was shot dead in the head, by an Israeli sniper, in Baita Village, east of Nablus City in the north of West Bank.  The killed activist was participating in a peaceful assembly to protest against grabbing Palestinians’ land in the town, for the sake of expanding the illegal Israeli settlements. Targeting her in the head with a killing gunshot indicates clearly that the shooting instructions given by the Israeli leadership to the forces in the field, allow the killing of Palestinians and international activists for the sake of killing only. It was clear that Aysenur had never caused any danger to the soldiers’ lives, so, killing her is no more than a message to the solidarity movements and activists, that they are not protected.

PWWSD asserts that there should be measures from the international community and the United Nations to halt the Israeli forces’ crimes and field execution of Palestinians and international activists. PWWSD urges the necessity to press on the Israeli government to adhere to international law and international human rights law’s fundamental rules, and principles. PWWSD calls upon the United Nations to activate Chapter VII of its Charter and take measures against Israel to end its occupation of Palestine. The United Nations should obligate the Occupation State to apply the measures detailed in the ruling of the International Court of Justice to End the Genocide War on Palestinians in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Organization asserts that as long as accountability is delayed, then justice is denied.
